2025–2026 Community Grantees
Porter County is full of organizations doing meaningful, boots-on-the-ground work in prevention, mental health, recovery, harm reduction, and community safety. Each year, Hub Coalition Porter County distributes funds collected through countermeasure fees to support these efforts — and the 2025–2026 grant cycle continues that commitment to local impact.

How the annual community grants work
Investing in Local Impact
These grants are designed to strengthen programs that directly improve quality of life in Porter County. Funding is awarded across the coalition’s four core categories — Administration, Prevention, Intervention/Treatment, and Criminal Justice & Law Enforcement — to ensure a balanced, countywide approach. Organizations are evaluated on need, community benefit, alignment with the Comprehensive Community Plan (CCP), and their ability to report outcomes.
Grant recipients are community partners, nonprofits, schools, law enforcement agencies, and recovery-focused organizations that help us reach youth, families, and vulnerable populations throughout Valparaiso, Portage, Chesterton, and surrounding areas.
This Year’s Awarded Partners
Organizations leading the way in prevention and recovery
These grantees were selected for their proven commitment to public health, safety, and behavioral health outcomes in Porter County. Funded programs may include suicide prevention efforts, youth substance-use prevention, community media and education, treatment and recovery support, and law-enforcement-aligned harm reduction.
Spotlight on 2025–2026 Initiatives
Local solutions making a measurable difference
Throughout the year, Hub Coalition Porter County will highlight select projects funded through this cycle — such as youth prevention campaigns, overdose response expansion, mental health training for frontline staff, and community media that raises awareness of behavioral health issues. These projects help show taxpayers, partners, and residents how local dollars are being used to protect and strengthen Porter County.
